Normally on this blog I show you many of the benefits of Content Marketing, and why you should strongly consider our top-of-the-line content writing services. But today, we’re going to go over three things that you can and should do right now, without us, to help your business succeed. They include:
- Add Your Business to Yelp – This is a must do. These days Yelp searches often show up ahead of many other websites. You need to make sure that you show up in Yelp search engines as well as Google search engines, because potential customers may be finding you in ways that are only tangentially related to search engines (ie, finding Yelp businesses in a Google search).
- Add Your Business to Google Places – Google Places is going to become a very important part of modern day content marketing and search engines. Eventually reviews will become as important as showing up well in search results. Content marketing will still be crucial, because you’ll essentially want to develop a site that is so useful that people want to review it well. But in the meantime, just make sure that your business is there for people to review.
- Start a Podcast – Podcasting is easy to do, fun, and has a lot of marketing potential. We do one ourselves called GLS Content Marketing and the truth is that we don’t even do it with the expectation of creating a popular content marketing podcast. We do it because it’s fun. It’s an incredibly simple form of marketing that allows employees to bond and doesn’t cost much (if anything). You can start one right now, and enjoy the potential of hits and listeners that can improve your company’s brand.
These are simple things that you can start today, and they do not require any outside help. Will they make a marketing impact? It’s difficult to say. But they’re important, easy, and have the potential to help your business succeed.
