2012 November Google Pagerank Update Expected Soon

Google’s pagerank is fluid. It updates constantly through its web crawlers and it’s not really a number, but a mathematical generation of value that can change any given minute of any given day.

But Google does release a “pagerank” every three months or so – a numerical representation of your current rank in the Google algorithm, based on content quality, incoming links, and anything else included in the Google search engine ranking.

This release doesn’t have a strict schedule. Google generally releases it whenever they see fit. But over the last two or three years, updated pagerank information has been released in late October/early November – roughly 3 months after the previous update, which was in August 2nd of 2012.

When is the November 2012 Google Pagerank Update?

From what I’m aware, Google chooses when they want to release it. That is why I expect it roughly one to three days after the presidential election.

This would be “late” by Google standards. But often after they release a new pagerank, Google makes news, and so it seems like a safe assumption that theย updateย will be released when they have a chance to be the top news story. In all likelihood, that will be roughly November 7th to November 9th.

Of course, this is all speculation. It could be a bit earlier or a bit later. My money is on November 9th – right before the weekend after the election, when bloggers are at home from their day jobs with plenty of time to write about their new pagerank.

Google pagerank changes take time – not only do you have to wait 3 months to get a visual representation of your success – Google also rewards websites that have built a significant foundation – something that your company or website simply cannot do if you start from scratch and don’t start adding content now.
